Role of the marketplace

japonaraba.com is a listing service that helps sellers publish vehicles and communicate with buyers. The site is not the seller or buyer, a party to the transaction, an agent or a broker. We do not physically inspect vehicles or provide an inspection that verifies a seller's identity, ownership, authority to sell, declarations or vehicle condition. We do not take vehicle-sale payments, hold transaction funds or provide escrow.

Seller responsibilities

A seller confirms that they own the vehicle or have valid authority to sell it, and that the price, mileage, condition, accident, chassis, airbag, flood or fire, bodywork, mechanical, registration document, lien or finance, inspection, road-tax and all other listing information is current and accurate. A seller must not hide a known material fault, must promptly update changed information, and must withdraw a vehicle that is sold or no longer available.

A seller may upload only vehicle photos and text that they have the right to use and publish. Photos and descriptions must not infringe another person's rights or contain unrelated personal information, misleading content or harmful files.

Review and listing period

New or edited listings may be reviewed before publication. We may reject, remove or ask for corrections to content that is incomplete, misleading, unlawful, unsafe or contrary to these terms. Approval does not mean that the seller, vehicle or declarations have been verified or endorsed.

An approved listing is published for 60 days and then expires automatically. It may be renewed when eligible; renewal may require another review or updated information. A seller may withdraw it sooner or mark it sold.

Buyer checks and reports

Before meeting or paying, a buyer must independently check the seller's identity and authority to sell, chassis and registration details, registration document, any finance or liens, inspection and road tax, mileage, service and accident history, and the vehicle's physical and mechanical condition. Obtain written records from the relevant authorities and an independent inspection where appropriate.

Report a suspicious, misleading, inappropriate or already-sold listing only in good faith and with information you believe is accurate. Reports must not be used to harass someone, obstruct competition or make a false allegation.

By submitting a report, you agree that the listing's public content at that time and the photo-capture status may be kept in a restricted evidence copy for review. Existing conversations for a listing suspended after a safety report may be closed to new messages; their history is preserved for the participants and authorised administrators under the applicable privacy and retention rules.

Accounts, messages and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, verify your email and protect your password. You are responsible for activity on your account. Use listing messages only to communicate about the vehicle. Spam, harassment, fraud, automated abuse, unauthorised access, scraping and disruption are prohibited.

We may apply rate limits to protect security and operation of the service, and may review, reject or remove listings under these terms.

If we suspect a security issue, fraud or abuse, we may suspend a listing or account, or revoke verified dealer ownership, with a recorded reason. The action may reject active listings, close open conversations to new messages and end active account sessions. Reactivating an account does not automatically restore previous sessions, listings or dealer ownership. You may request review or appeal by writing to [email protected].

Direct transaction, information and responsibility

The final agreement, inspection, sale contract, payment, delivery and ownership transfer take place directly between buyer and seller and outside the platform. Each party is responsible for the other party, the payment method they choose and the required official steps. We may review listing, declaration and message records in a dispute, but we are not required to decide it for the parties or cover a loss.

Vehicle, dealer and import content is general information, not an offer, inspection, legal, tax or customs advice. Dealer profiles may be compiled from public sources; an unclaimed profile does not mean the business endorses the site. Site text, design and software may not be copied in bulk without permission. The service is provided with reasonable care but is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate in every listing detail.
